A good way to make a nice variation to your fall outfit is the vest coat.
So basically it is a coat without sleeves. That raises some questions, how and when you should wear it. It is a really stylish solution when it’s not too cold outside! Mine is from Max & Co and has some nice embroidered patch on the side.
The best way to wear it is with a plain turtleneck (you know, a black turtleneck is one of the basic must-haves for every wardrobe), as you can’t actually wear it with a scarf or shawl – it makes the whole look too “massive”. So you need something underneath, that has sleeves and a turtleneck, otherwise, you would look too “naked”.
I combined my vest coat with woolen wide-leg pants from Max Mara and added my Baker Boy hat (my love!) as relaxed detail to make the outfit not that office-like.
I hope I’ve encouraged you to experiment to try to style some more complicated pieces and create an interesting outfit 🙂
